Anti-CLDN25 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein claudin 25. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 229 amino acid residues and a mass of 25.4 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. A member of the Claudin protein family, CLDN25 is known to play an important role in tight junction-specific obliteration of the intercellular space, through calcium-independent cell-adhesion activity. Synonyms for this target antigen include putative claudin-25. CLDN25 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is the most common application for the CLDN25 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunocytochemistry are also common applications.
