Anti-CCNI antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein cyclin I. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 377 amino acid residues and a mass of 42.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be highly expressed in adult heart, brain and skeletal muscle. A member of the Cyclin protein family, CCNI is known to be involved with spermatogenesis. Synonyms for this target antigen include CYC1, CYI, cyclin ITI, and CCNI1. CCNI gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is a widely used application for the CCNI antibodies listed below. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
