Anti-APC1 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the APC1 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the SLC25A24 gene, which encodes solute carrier family 25 member 24. This protein is known to function in the response to oxidative stress, among other biological roles. The human version of APC1 has a canonical amino acid length of 477 residues and a protein mass of 53.4 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the mitochondria of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. APC1 is a member of the Mitochondrial carrier (TC 2.A.29) protein family.
