Anti-HPA2 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the HPA2 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the HPSE2 gene, which encodes heparanase 2 (inactive). This protein is known to function in cell proliferation and extracellular matrix organization, among other biological roles. The human version of HPA2 has a canonical amino acid length of 592 residues and a protein mass of 66.6 kilodaltons, although 4 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the extracellular matrix and is secreted of cells. HPA2 is a member of the Glycosyl hydrolase 79 protein family. Indicated applications for HPA2 antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
