Anti-CYP2A antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the CYP2A antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the CYP2A6 gene, which encodes cytochrome P450 family 2 subfamily A member 6. This protein is known to function in metabolic processes, among other biological roles. The human version of CYP2A has a canonical amino acid length of 494 residues and a protein mass of 56.5 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the ER of cells and notably expressed in the liver and testis. CYP2A is a member of the Cytochrome P450 protein family.
