Anti-RIG-I antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target RIG-I is a known alias name of the protein RNA sensor RIG-I, encoded by the RIGI gene in humans. This 925-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in innate immune responses, among other biological processes. It is localized to the cytoplasm of the cell and features ubiquitinated, sumoylated, cleaved and phosphorylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Other synonyms for RIG-I include DDX58, DDX58, and RIG1. Some RIG-I antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
