Anti-ANKS3 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein ankyrin repeat and sterile alpha motif domain containing 3. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 656 amino acid residues and a mass of 72 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell projections and cytoplasm. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. ANKS3 is suspected to be involved in vasopressin signaling in the kidney. Post-translational modifications have been described, including ubiquitination and phosphorylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include ankyrin repeat and SAM domain-containing protein 3. ANKS3 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some ANKS3 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Immunohistochemistry is a widely used application for these antibodies. Western Blot and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
