Anti-OR8B8 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein olfactory receptor family 8 subfamily B member 8. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 311 amino acid residues and a mass of 34.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. It is reported to be expressed in the tongue and testis. A member of the G-protein coupled receptor 1 protein family, OR8B8 is known to be involved with GPCR signaling pathways and the sensory perception of smell. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include olfactory receptor 8B8, olfactory receptor OR11-316, olfactory receptor TPCR85, olfactory-like receptor JCG8, and TPCR85. Western Blot is the most common application for the OR8B8 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
