Anti-MCF2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein MCF.2 cell line derived transforming sequence. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 925 amino acid residues and a mass of 107.7 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. Up to 6 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. A member of the MCF2 protein family, MCF2 is known to be involved with dendrite development and intracellular signal transduction. Post-translational modifications have been described, including phosphorylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include DBL, proto-oncogene DBL, Oncogene MCF2 (oncogene DBL), proto-oncogene MCF-2, and ARHGEF21. MCF2 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species.
