Anti-LDHAL6A antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein lactate dehydrogenase A like 6A. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 332 amino acid residues and a mass of 36.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. It is reported to have testis-specific expression. A member of the LDH protein family, LDHAL6A is known to catalyze the interconversion of L-lactate and pyruvate with nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide NAD(+) as a coenzyme. Synonyms for this target antigen include L-lactate dehydrogenase A-like 6A and LDHA-like protein 6A. LDHAL6A gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat and chimpanzee species. Western Blot is a widely used application for the LDHAL6A antibodies listed below. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
