Anti-PIG8 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the PIG8 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the EI24 gene, which encodes EI24 autophagy associated transmembrane protein. This protein is known to function in the apoptotic pathway and autophagy pathways, among other biological roles. The human version of PIG8 has a canonical amino acid length of 340 residues and a protein mass of 39 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus, ER, and cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. PIG8 is a member of the EI24 protein family. Indicated applications for PIG8 antibodies listed below include ELISA and Western Blot.
