Anti-TECPR1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein tectonin beta-propeller repeat containing 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1165 amino acid residues and a mass of 129.7 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasmic vesicles and lysosomes. Up to 4 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in many tissues, such as the appendix and colon. A member of the TECPR1 protein family, TECPR1 is known to be a tethering factor involved in autophagy. Synonyms for this target antigen include tectonin beta-propeller repeat-containing protein 1. TECPR1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some TECPR1 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
