Anti-SIGLEC14 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein sialic acid binding Ig like lectin 14. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 396 amino acid residues and a mass of 44 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. It is reported to be mainly expressed in hematopoietic tissues including bone marrow, spleen and fetal liver. A member of the SIGLEC (sialic acid binding Ig-like lectin) protein family, SIGLEC14 is believed to be a type of adhesion molecule. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. A number of SIGLEC14 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Flow Cytometry are also common applications.
