Anti-OR5M1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein olfactory receptor family 5 subfamily M member 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 315 amino acid residues and a mass of 35.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. A member of the G-protein coupled receptor 1 protein family, OR5M1 is known to be involved with GPCR signaling pathways and the sensory perception of smell. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include olfactory receptor OR11-208, seven transmembrane helix receptor, and olfactory receptor 5M1. ELISA is the most common application for the OR5M1 antibodies listed below. Western Blot and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
