Anti-BCL2 associated athanogene 6 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene BAG6 in humans. The gene may also be known as BAG-6, BAT3, D6S52E, G3, large proline-rich protein BAG6, and BAG family molecular chaperone regulator 6. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 119.4 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, plant, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
