Anti-TMEM25 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein transmembrane protein 25. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 366 amino acid residues and a mass of 39.3 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the lysosomes, cell membrane, and is secreted. Up to 5 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is noted to be expressed throughout the brain with higher levels in the pyramidal cell layer of the hippocampal CA1 and CA3 regions. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include 0610039J01Rik. TMEM25 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish and chimpanzee species. Some TMEM25 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. ELISA is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, Western Blot is also a common application.
