Anti-TMEM164 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein transmembrane protein 164. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 297 amino acid residues and a mass of 33.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the membrane. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. A member of the TMEM164 protein family, TMEM164 is a reported positive regulator of ferroptosis. Synonyms for this target antigen include RP13-360B22.2. TMEM164 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. These TMEM164 antibodies are widely used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
