Anti-Spondin 2 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene SPON2 in humans. The gene may also be known as DIL1, Mindin, DIL-1, M-SPONDIN, and differentially expressed in cancerous and non-cancerous lung cells 1. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 35.8 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, fly, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
