Anti-NDUFS5 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein NADH:ubiquinone oxidoreductase subunit S5. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 106 amino acid residues and a mass of 12.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the mitochondria. A member of a the Complex I NDUFS5 subunit protein family, NDUFS5 is reported to be an accessory subunit the mitochondrial membrane respiratory chain NADH dehydrogenase (Complex I), that is believed not to be involved in catalysis. Synonyms for this target antigen include CI15K, NADH dehydrogenase [ubiquinone] iron-sulfur protein 5, CI-15 kDa, NADH dehydrogenase (ubiquinone) Fe-S protein 5, 15kDa (NADH-coenzyme Q reductase), and CI-15k.
