Anti-USP50 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein ubiquitin specific peptidase 50. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 339 amino acid residues and a mass of 39 kDa. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be weakly expressed in a few tissues. A member of the Peptidase C19 protein family, USP50 is known to have no peptidase activity. Synonyms for this target antigen include inactive ubiquitin-specific peptidase 50, ubiquitin specific protease 50, and inactive ubiquitin carboxyl-terminal hydrolase 50. USP50 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine and chimpanzee species. ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry are common applications for USP50 antibodies.
