Anti-XPA binding protein 2 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene XAB2 in humans. The gene may also be known as HCNP, HCRN, NTC90, SYF1, pre-mRNA-splicing factor SYF1, and SYF1 homolog, RNA splicing factor. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 100 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
