Anti-VCX3A antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein variable charge X-linked 3A. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 186 amino acid residues and a mass of 20 kDa. It is found to be preferentially expressed in the testis. A member of the VCX/VCY protein family, VCX3A is believed to mediate a process in spermatogenesis or may play a role in sex ratio distortion. Synonyms for this target antigen include VCX-A, VCX3, VCX8R, VCXA, variable charge X-linked protein 3, and VCX-8r. Western Blot is a widely used application for the VCX3A antibodies listed below. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
