Anti-WDHD1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein WD repeat and HMG-box DNA binding protein 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1129 amino acid residues and a mass of 126 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in many tissues, such as the appendix and cervix. WDHD1 is known to be involved with DNA repair and DNA replication. Synonyms for this target antigen include AND1, CHTF4, CTF4, Acidic nucleoplasmic DNA-binding protein 1, CTF4, chromosome transmission fidelity factor 4 homolog, and AND-1. WDHD1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of WDHD1 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, Immunohistochemistry is also a common application.
