Anti-TEX10 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein testis expressed 10. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 929 amino acid residues and a mass of 105.7 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and cytoplasm. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. A member of the IPI1/TEX10 protein family, TEX10 is known to function as a component of the Five Friends of Methylated CHTOP (5FMC) complex; the 5FMC complex is recruited to ZNF148 by methylated CHTOP, leading to desumoylation of ZNF148 and subsequent transactivation of ZNF148 target genes. Synonyms for this target antigen include bA208F1.2, testis-expressed protein 10, testis expressed gene 10, testis-expressed sequence 10 protein, and Ipi1. TEX10 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of TEX10 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
