Anti-TCF23 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein transcription factor 23. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 214 amino acid residues and a mass of 23.3 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. It is reported to be expressed in the liver, kidney and spleen. TCF23 is reported to inhibit E-box-mediated binding and transactivation of bHLH factors. Synonyms for this target antigen include class A basic helix-loop-helix protein 24 and class II basic helix-loop-helix protein TCF23. TCF23 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine and chimpanzee species. These TCF23 antibodies are widely used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
