Anti-STRN4 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein striatin 4. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 753 amino acid residues and a mass of 80.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the membrane and cytoplasm. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. A member of the WD repeat striatin protein family, STRN4 is known to bind calmodulin in a calcium dependent manner. Synonyms for this target antigen include ZIN, zinedin, protein phosphatase 2 regulatory subunit B'''gamma, striatin, calmodulin binding protein 4, and PPP2R6C. STRN4 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some STRN4 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, Immunofluorescence is also a common application.
