Anti-POU3F1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein POU class 3 homeobox 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 451 amino acid residues and a mass of 45.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. It is reported to be expressed in embryonal stem cells and in the developing brain. A member of the POU transcription factor protein family, POU3F1 is reported to be a transcription factor that binds to the octamer motif (5'-ATTTGCAT-3') (By similarity). Synonyms for this target antigen include OTF6, SCIP, POU domain, class 3, transcription factor 1, OTF-6, POU domain transcription factor SCIP, and OCT6. POU3F1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of POU3F1 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
