Anti-PRR16 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein proline rich 16. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 304 amino acid residues and a mass of 32.8 kDa. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. PRR16 is a reported regulator of cell size that promotes cell size increase independently of mTOR and Hippo signaling pathways. Synonyms for this target antigen include LARGEN, protein Largen, mesenchymal stem cell protein DSC54, proline-rich protein 16, and DSC54. PRR16 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is a widely used application for the PRR16 antibodies listed below. In addition, Immunohistochemistry is also a common application.
