Anti-TNFAIP2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein TNF alpha induced protein 2. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 654 amino acid residues and a mass of 72.7 kDa. It is notably expressed in many tissues, such as the appendix and colon. A member of the SEC6 protein family, TNFAIP2 is believed to play a role as a mediator of inflammation and angiogenesis. Synonyms for this target antigen include EXOC3L3, tumor necrosis factor alpha-induced protein 2, exocyst complex component 3-like 3, primary response gene B94 protein, tumor necrosis factor, alpha induced protein 2, and B94. TNFAIP2 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species.
