Anti-RRP1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein ribosomal RNA processing 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 461 amino acid residues and a mass of 52.8 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. It is widely expressed across many tissue types. A member of the RRP1 protein family, RRP1 is known to play an important role in the generation of 28S rRNA. Post-translational modifications have been described, including methylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include NNP-1, NOP52, RRP1A, ribosomal RNA processing protein 1 homolog A, Nnp1 homolog, nucleolar protein, and D21S2056E. RRP1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish and chimpanzee species.
