Anti-RASEF antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein RAS and EF-hand domain containing. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 740 amino acid residues and a mass of 82.9 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. A member of the Rab protein family, RASEF is known to bind predominantly GDP, and also GTP. Synonyms for this target antigen include ras and EF-hand domain-containing protein and ras-related protein Rab-45. RASEF gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some RASEF antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
