Anti-RCSD1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein RCSD domain containing 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 416 amino acid residues and a mass of 44.5 kDa. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be highly expressed in skeletal muscle and more weakly in cardiac muscle. RCSD1 is known to be involved with muscle contraction. Post-translational modifications have been described, including phosphorylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include RCSD domain-containing protein 1, protein kinase substrate CapZIP, protein kinase substrate MK2S4, and capZ-interacting protein. RCSD1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is a widely used application for the RCSD1 antibodies listed below. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
