Anti-PPAPDC2 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the PPAPDC2 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the PLPP6 gene, which encodes phospholipid phosphatase 6. This protein is known to function in cholesterol metabolism and homeostasis and innate immune responses, among other biological roles. The human version of PPAPDC2 has a canonical amino acid length of 295 residues and a protein mass of 32.2 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus and ER of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. PPAPDC2 is a member of the PA-phosphatase related phosphoesterase protein family.
