Anti-MURC antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The MURC antigen is another term for the human protein caveolae associated protein 4, encoded by the CAVIN4 gene. The protein is known to function in cell differentiation and muscle organ development, among other biological roles. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 364 residues and a mass of 41.9 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane and cytoplasm and it is expressed in the testis, skeletal muscle, and heart muscle. The MURC protein is a member of the CAVIN protein family.
