Anti-Myogenin antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene MYOG in humans. The myogenin protein has a reported amino acid length of 224 and an expected mass of 25 kDa. The protein may also be known as MYF4, bHLHc3, myf-4, class C basic helix-loop-helix protein 3, and myogenic factor 4. Variants of this antigen may also be found in other species, including canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat.
