Anti-PCDHA7 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein protocadherin alpha 7. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 937 amino acid residues and a mass of 100.9 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. PCDHA7 is known to be involved with cell adhesion and nervous system development. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include PCDH-alpha-7, ortholog to mouse CNR4, and KIAA0345-like 7. PCDHA7 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat and chicken species. Western Blot is the most common application for the PCDHA7 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
