Anti-SGT antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target SGT is a known alias name of the protein small glutamine rich tetratricopeptide repeat co-chaperone alpha, encoded by the SGTA gene in humans. This 313-amino acid residue protein is a reported co-chaperone that binds misfolded and hydrophobic patches-containing client proteins in the cytosol. It is localized to the nucleus and cytoplasm of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types. The term SGT1 is another synonym for SGT. Indicated applications for SGT antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry.
