Anti-PRDM14 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein PR/SET domain 14. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 571 amino acid residues and a mass of 64.1 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. It is reported to be expressed in embryonic stem cells. A member of the Class V-like SAM-binding methyltransferase protein superfamily, PRDM14 is reported to be a transcription factor that has both positive and negative roles on transcription. Synonyms for this target antigen include PR domain 14, PR domain-containing 14, PR domain-containing protein 14, and PR domain zinc finger protein 14. PRDM14 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of PRDM14 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
