Anti-MORF4L2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein mortality factor 4 like 2. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 288 amino acid residues and a mass of 32.3 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. MORF4L2 is a known component of the NuA4 histone acetyltransferase complex which is involved in transcriptional activation of select genes principally by acetylation of nucleosomal histone H4 and H2A. Synonyms for this target antigen include MRGX, mortality factor 4-like protein 2, MORF-related gene X protein, MSL3-2 protein, protein MSL3-2, and MORFL2.
