Anti-NDUFAF4 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein NADH:ubiquinone oxidoreductase complex assembly factor 4. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 175 amino acid residues and a mass of 20.3 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the mitochondria. A member of the NDUFAF4 protein family, NDUFAF4 is reported to be involved in assembly of mitochondrial NADH:ubiquinone oxidoreductase complex (complex I). Post-translational modifications have been described, including phosphorylation. The NDUFAF4 gene has been associated with the disease, Mitochondrial complex I deficiency. Synonyms for this target antigen include HRPAP20, HSPC125, MC1DN15, My013, bA22L21.1, and C6orf66. NDUFAF4 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of NDUFAF4 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
