Anti-KRT222 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein keratin 222. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 295 amino acid residues and a mass of 34.2 kDa. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in the cerebellum and testis. It is a member of the Intermediate filament protein family. Synonyms for this target antigen include keratin 222, type II, keratin-222 pseudogene, and keratin-like protein KRT222. KRT222 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is a widely used application for the KRT222 antibodies listed below. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
