There are over 1000 anti-HP antibodies from over 40 different suppliers shown below. Choose from either monoclonal or polyclonal antibodies for a variety of applications, such as Western blot, ELISA, Flow Cytometry, IHC and Immunofluorescence.
In humans, this target is encoded by the gene, haptoglobin (HP). Orthologs for HP have also been reported in other species, including mouse.
The canonical HP protein is 406 amino acids in length, 45.2 kDa in mass, and has a secreted subcellular localization. It is a member of the Peptidase S1 protein family. HP functions in hemoglobin binding and antioxidant activity, as well as having a role in the innate immune system and vesicle-mediated transport. Tissue-specific expression of HP has been observed in several tissues, including liver. Post-translational modifications have been described, notably glycosylation.
Synonyms for this protein include: BP; HP2ALPHA2; HPA1S; binding peptide; haptoglobin alpha(1S)-beta.
