Anti-TRIM4 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein tripartite motif containing 4. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 500 amino acid residues and a mass of 57.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. A member of the TRIM/RBCC protein family, TRIM4 is known to be involved with innate immune responses and protein ubiquitination. Synonyms for this target antigen include RING finger protein 87, RING-type E3 ubiquitin transferase TRIM4, tripartite motif protein 4, and E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase TRIM4. TRIM4 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine and chimpanzee species. Some TRIM4 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
