Anti-SCAPER antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein S-phase cyclin A associated protein in the ER. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1400 amino acid residues and a mass of 158.3 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and ER. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be widely expressed with high expression in testis. SCAPER is known to be involved with eye development and spermatogenesis. Post-translational modifications have been described, including phosphorylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include MSTP063, ZNF291, Zfp291, S phase cyclin A-associated protein in the endoplasmic reticulum, zinc finger protein 291, and IDDRP. SCAPER gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some SCAPER antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. ELISA is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, Western Blot is also a common application.
