Anti-SLC38A7 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein solute carrier family 38 member 7. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 462 amino acid residues and a mass of 50 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the lysosomes. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. A member of the Amino acid/polyamine transporter 2 protein family, SLC38A7 is a reported symporter that selectively cotransports sodium ions and amino acids, such as L-glutamine and L-asparagine from the lysosome into the cytoplasm and may participates in mTORC1 activation.
