Anti-HOXB6 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein homeobox B6. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 224 amino acid residues and a mass of 25.4 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. A member of the Antp homeobox protein family, HOXB6 is known to be involved with the regulation of transcription. Synonyms for this target antigen include HOX2B, HU-2, Hox-2.2, homeobox protein Hox-B6, homeo box 2B, and HOX2. HOXB6 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some HOXB6 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
