Anti-PLA2G16 antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The PLA2G16 antigen is another term for the human protein phospholipase A and acyltransferase 3, encoded by the PLAAT3 gene. The protein is known to function in the metabolism of lipids and lens fiber cell differentiation, among other biological roles. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 162 residues and a mass of 17.9 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane and it is widely expressed across many tissue types. The PLA2G16 protein is a member of the H-rev107 protein family. Other alias names for PLA2G16 include AdPLA, H-REV107, and H-REV107-1. Western Blot is the most common application for the PLA2G16 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
