Anti-KRT33B antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein keratin 33B. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 404 amino acid residues and a mass of 46.2 kDa. It is notably expressed in the hair. A member of the Intermediate filament protein family, KRT33B is known to be involved with pathways of aging and epithelial cell differentiation. Synonyms for this target antigen include Ha-3II, K33B, KRTHA3A, KRTHA3B, hHa3-II, keratin, type I cuticular Ha3-II, hair keratin, type I Ha3-II, and HA3II. KRT33B gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse and chimpanzee species. Some KRT33B antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
