Anti-RTP3 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein receptor transporter protein 3. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 232 amino acid residues and a mass of 27 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the membrane. It is reported to be highly expressed in adult liver. A member of the TMEM7 protein family, RTP3 is reported to promote functional cell surface expression of the bitter taste receptors TAS2R16 and TAS2R43. Synonyms for this target antigen include 3CxxC-type zinc finger protein 3, receptor (chemosensory) transporter protein 3, transmembrane protein 7, zinc finger, 3CxxC-type 3, and receptor-transporting protein 3. RTP3 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine and chimpanzee species. Western Blot is a widely used application for the RTP3 antibodies listed below. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
