Anti-PROL1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target PROL1 is a known alias name of the protein opiorphin prepropeptide, encoded by the OPRPN gene in humans. This 248-amino acid residue protein is a member of the PROL1/PROL3 protein family. The protein is secreted and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is found to be highly expressed in lacrimal gland where it found in the secretory endpieces. Some PROL1 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. ELISA is a widely used application for these antibodies. Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
